Sub-jr wushu: Punjab claims 2 golds

Lucknow Punjab claimed two golds in the taulu group competitions of the 8th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championships in progress at Rajajipuram indoor stadium, here.

Wushuists who won a gold each for Punjab were Bhagwat Prasad Pandey and Anuradha Dubey.

Manipur with one gold, one silver and two bronze and Jharkhand with one gold are also in the race in the group.

Hosts Uttar Pradesh grabbed one silver on Friday.

Results are as follows:

Taulu group:-

Changquan (boys): Gold: Bhagwat Prasad Pandey (Punjab), Silver: Aman Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Bronze: S Rocky Singh (Manipur);

Changquan (girls): Gold: Anuradha Dubey (Punjab), Silver: S Ebechma Chanu (Manipur), Bronze: Eliana Aishwarya Kiran (Bihar);

Nanquan (boys): Gold: Deepak Bahadur (Jharkhand), Silver: Sher Bahadur (Punjab), Bronze: Y Sajan Singh (Manipur);

Nanquan (girls): Gold: A Bobina Devi (Manipur), Silver: TH Arita Devi (Manipur), Bronze: Naswinder Kaur (Punjab).
