Patiala, February 3 Following his elevation to the post of the Shiromani Akali Dal president, Sukhbir Singh Badal is all set to get the party wired.

The party offices would be connected through internet and workers would report regularly to him electronically. And as per plans, all important matters would be taken up the next morning.

Sources in the party said Sukhbir knows that it was difficult for the party workers to come to Chandigarh for minor works and internet would solve this problem.

Vice-president Youth Akali Dal Punjab Sukhman Singh Sidhu said, "Buying office space in all cities and villages is the next step, after which the party president will interlink them."

Patiala mayor Ajit Pal Singh Kohli said the interlinking of Akali offices was a good step, as all matters, however small they may be, could be e-mailed for party's notice. Paramjit Singh Sidhwan, political secretary to Sukhbir, said, "There will also be a facility for video-conferencing in district headquarters and villages."

Sidhwan said the whole project of sprucing up the party and the other wings, like Students' Organisation of India and the Youth Akali Dal, were on Sukhbir's top priority.
