Sukhchain Gill is new Ludhiana SSP

Ludhiana Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill has replaced R K Jaiswal as the new Ludhiana SSP (Urban). A 2003- batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Punjab cadre, Dr Gill had earlier served the city as SP City I about one and half years ago.

Dr Gill was earlier posted as Hoshiarpur SSP. Speaking to Newsline after taking charge of the post, Dr Gill said that his top priority would be to provide good policing to the residents.

Meanwhile, Jaiswal has been transferred to Jalandhar. Speaking to Newsline after relinquishing the charge, Jaiswal said, “I consider my tenure at Ludhiana as satisfactory.”
