Surat win the T-10 cricket

Mumbai Surat lifted the Rin T-10 Gully Cricket Championship. The final match, which saw some exciting action, enthralled the 25,000-strong crowd. Surat won the championship by 8 wickets and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh. The runner-up Ludhiana were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakh. With 23 runs Chintan Sehgal of Ludhiana scored the highest number of runs for his team. Hemal Patel of Surat took 3 wickets while giving away 13 runs. Abhay Patel from Surat made the highest number of runs in the final match with a score of 39. Karan Puri of Ludhiana took 2 wickets while giving away 15 runs.

The Pune and Kanpur teams got a cheque of Rs. 1.75 lakh each. The coach of the Surat team got a prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Ludhiana 93/9 in 10 ovs (Chintan Sehgal 23, Gagandeep Dand 24; Hemal Patel 3/13, Sanket Tandel 2/15) vs Surat 96/2 in 8.1 overs (Abhay Patel 39 not out, Shiv Pal Rana 23 not out; Karan Puri 2/15). Surat won by 8 wickets.
