Surgical Update: MUHS workshop on Feb 23, 24

Pune, February 13 The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences’ (MUHS) Pune regional office will conduct a two-day ‘Surgical Update’ on February 23 and 24 for medical students, postgraduates and surgeons. From discussions on critical care in surgery, bariatric surgery, knee joint replacements to spinal trauma, head injuries and fractures to live surgeries, the conference aims at providing the latest information on modern surgical techniques. Dr P M Shere, coordinator at MUHS, Pune told media persons that the conference aims at providing orientation in modern surgical techniques to the surgeons and doctors of urban and rural areas. This includes the latest changes in the surgical procedure along with burning topic medical legal ethics.

More than 50 surgeons from Hyderabad, Jaipur, Pondycherry, Mumbai, Delhi and Pune and faculty from UK, USA and Australia are expected to participate in this continuing medical education programme, Dr Parag Sancheti, director at Sancheti Institute of Orthopaedics said.
