Jalandhar The security arrangements for CM’s wife Surinder Kaur Badal’s visit to Jalandhar caused a lot of inconvenience to the public. During her visit to a gurdwara at Model Town, the main road was blocked and people were not allowed to use the road in front.

“While on one hand, the VIPs claim to be a part of the public, on the other we have to suffer every time they visit the city,” said Navtej Singh, a resident of Model Town.

“She is not even a part of the government, still the entire government machinery was put to her disposal,” another resident remarked. Later, during a brief interaction with the media, Kaur expressed her happiness over her son becoming the Deputy CM. However, she did answer the queries related to the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat and the need for collecting langar from village to village.
