This AGM was attended by the club members in big numbers and by the office-bearers of the outgoing executive body. However the schedule of the election procedure is yet to be announced. Last elections were held in March 2006.
At the AGM, the ex-officio president of the club, deputy commissioner Gurjar announced some decisions which were beneficial for the club members who are senior citizens. On of these decisions included installation of a lift for the senior members who find it difficult to climb up the stairs.
In this meeting the deputy commissioner announced that the club has made a considerable saving by cutting down on the expenditures on the cultural functions held during the last year. The DC appreciated the executive body of the club for these savings.
In reply to a query about why the new year function was held out of the city, DC Gurjar said that the function had been organised out of the city as within city, due to the directions of the Supreme Court, music could not be played after 10 pm. He, however, assured the club members that in future all the functions of the club would be held at the club premises itself.
