The accident took place around 5.30 am when a speeding Tavera coming from the District Administrative Complex in Phase I failed to negotiate a right turn at Hotel Franco lightpoint and crashed into the house belonging to one Rajinder Singh.
The driver was taken to the PGIMER in Chandigarh, where he was admitted for treatment, while the other injured were discharged after first-aid at the Mohali Civil Hospital, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Harbir Singh told Newsline.
While the local police reached the spot, the concerned parties entered into a mutual compromise refusing to have any police action initiated in the case, added the SHO.
