Synergy Foods joins hands with Carotino Malaysia

Pune Carotino SDN BHD Malaysia, a subsidiary of the diversified J C Chang Group the other day announced a partnership with city-based Synergy Foods to form Carotino India Pvt. Ltd, which will launch and distribute the Malaysian company’s anti-oxidant rich premium red cooking oil ‘Carotino’ in Maharashtra and then gradually take it to other cities in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Manjusha Bhave, managing director, Carotino India Pvt. Ltd, said, “ Synergy Foods is a leader in the business of de-oiled Soya lecithin with its products exported to over 14 countries and we were looking at a partner who could bring in more value-added products into the country. The long association our principal shareholders had with the JC Chang Group also helped in cementing this partnership with Carotino Malaysia which is a global player in the business of nutraceutical products and cooking oil”.

“India is an important growth market with tremendous long-term potential for our company. Carotino and Synergy Foods working together will create a powerful partnership that’s relevant to the Indian consumer by delivering superior benefits and quality,” said Shien Chang, director, Carotino Malaysia .

Carotino India Pvt Ltd also formally launched its anti-oxidant rich premium red cooking oil ‘Carotino’. Carotino India has put in place a distribution network with the brand already available in 1500 retail outlets in Mumbai and around 500 outlets in Pune and will be made available across Maharashtra in the next 3 months and at all major cities in next 6 months time.
