Shimla, February 1 Raising the demand for reservation for women, the BJP Mahila Morcha has demanded tabling of the women's reservation Bill in the upcoming budget session of the Parliament.

"After the BJP passed the proposal for 33 per cent reservation for women in the national executive meeting on January 28, we want to pressure the UPA government to table the reservation Bill in Parliament before the next Lok Sabha elections," said Roopa Sharma, president of the BJP Himachal Mahila Morcha.

Talking to mediapersons in Shimla today, she said the BJP in the state will implement 33 per cent reservation for women in all frontal organisations of the party, such as SC and ST Cell, Youth Cell and Legal Cell.

"All wings of the party would have 33 per cent representation for women within three months," said Sharma.

Replying to a question, she said if the Morcha found any suitable women for the Lok Sabha election from the Hamirpur seat that had fallen vacant after Chief Minister P.K. Dhumal contested for state Assembly polls, the wing would insist on a ticket to the woman.

Sharma, however, expressed satisfaction over 12 per cent representation given to women in the state Cabinet, where Sarveen Chaudhary from Shapur, who is the Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, is the lone woman.
