Kolkata Rabindranath Tagore on Tuesday went online, courtesy the IT department of West Bengal government, backed by the connoisseur Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

At the Writers’ Buildings, Bhattacharjee today launched the website, www.rabindranath-rachanabali.nltr.org in which the entire works of Tagore, including his poems, novels, short stories, essays and other works will be available. “Soon, we will include Rabindranath’s paintings,” IT Minister Debesh Das, who was present in the programme, said.

“In countries where Bengali books are scarce, a person can have a taste of Tagore by clicking the mouse,” Das said.
