The competition began with the welcome address by Krishnakumar Shrinivasan, vice-chairman, CII Marathwada Zonal Council and president and director, Endress Hauser Flowtec (I) Pvt Ltd. Eight winning teams of three states from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra participated in the zonal competition. Each of the teams presented their achievements in the competition. Tata motors’ team ‘Dicor’ representated Maharashtra state and emerged as winner. The team was led by S M Sobalkar. A B Acharekar, D N Dhage, C M Neb and S B Chandgude were the team members. The team received guidance from S V Deo and S S Muke.
The first runner up was team "Shraddha" of NTPC ltd., Bharuch, Gujarat and the second runner up was team "Radial Stars" of Appollo Tyres Ltd, Vadodara, Gujarat.
In his valedictory speech, CMIA president, Umesh Dashrathi said ‘customer first’ and ‘quality must’ should be the line of action for any company in this competitive era.
S L Bhoomkar, manager, TPM, Bajaj Auto Ltd was the chief judge along with N S Kingaonkar from Endurance and Archana Thosar from Government Engineering College.
The awards were presented by Shrinivasan and Umesh Dashrathi, MD Rucha Group of Industries. Ashish Garde, Convenor CII skill development Panel, MZC and Manger, Nirlep Appliances Ltd, proposed a vote of thanks, stated Prashant P Ahir, g eneral manager, in a press release.
