TCGL launches Vadodara Darshan to mark World Tourism Day

Vadodara On the eve of World Tourism Day, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) has taken a lead to conduct tour facility of the important heritage sites and monuments in the city starting on Sunday.

Vadodara District Collector Vijay Nehra said the tourist bus facility, known as Vadodara Darshan, includes the city route of Laxmi Vilas Palace, Fatehsinhrao Museum, Qutubuddin's Hazira, EME Temple, Kirti Mandir, Sayaji Garden and other important locations, which have huge potential to attract large number of tourists to the city.

Though the cost of the tour is around Rs 300, including entry fees, it is being conducted at a discount ticket price of Rs 50 as Dusshera and Diwali gifts to the tourists, which will be revised after a month, Nehra said.

The service in an AC coach will operate six days a week, he said. He added the conducted tour will also cover the Ajwa routes on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, which includes visit to the Vrundavan Garden, Ajwa Reservoirs and Coins museum for which tourist will have to pay a ticket price of Rs 100 instead of Rs 50.
