The Wow! factor
Form, not just function, is the new thumb-rule that is ruling the consumer mentality. Catering just to that Sony has brought in a range of products with thought-out design and features. For example the Sony VAIO wants to stimulate the conversation, thus besides making the machine versatile for business and entertainment, VAIO also uses materials aimed to communicate high quality and coolness. "Call it a new fad, but a shift in working styles and the need for "anytime-anywhere" access to information is pushing laptop sales to dizzy heights in India. As affordability factor, amalgamation of next generation technologies like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with mobile computing bring more utility to notebooks, Indians have started purchasing notebook computers faster than the industry would have thought," shares Sachin Thapar, Sony India IT Sales and Marketing Head. Talking about the security features Thapar tells," Any company, organization or individual person will always need security, whether they realize it or not. Sony provides solutions such as fingerprint sensor in its select VAIO notebooks that protects the users data from attacks on personal information.
