"The constant erosion of values from society is the biggest challenge we’re facing today and teachers can help inculcate these values in students,’’ Dr RC Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, addressed the students on Mat Pita Santan Divas of Dr Khera’s Chandigarh Coaching Centre at Tagore Theatre. On the occasion, Dr Sobti was honoured by Dr Khera with a cheque for Rs 1,00,000 towards a new fund to be established by the University for the deserving and needy. Prof Sobti said he would be using the fund for toppers from the Chemical Engineering Department of which Dr Khera is an alumnus. A one-act play, Aisa Kyon?? directed by a teacher of the institute, Ashwani Ohri, won appreciation from the large audience.
