The Indian Express journalist wins media award

Ahmedabad Ayesha Khan, Assistant Editor, The Indian Express, Ahmedabad, has been selected for this year’s Drishti media award.

A release from the Drishti Trust said the annual award is in three categories — media, arts and human rights. The award highlights individual’s struggles and successes of women in these

areas. It celebrates their incredible achievements while presenting them as role models.

The other winners are theatre artist Raskha Nayak (arts) and Nupur Simha, Director, Centre for Social Justice (human rights).

Renowned danseuse Mrinalini Sarabhai will give away the awards at a function in the city on March 8, International Women’s Day.
