No, I dont agree with it. I am traditional and I believe that the man must always propose. After all, if the woman proposes the man may refuse, but I believe that it is the woman who must always have the right to refuse

Aneesh Kamat, a student of graphic designing
As per the equality of the sexes, it just makes sense that they take the first step. And if males can be chivalrous, then the feminine gender should practise chivalry as well. Anyways, how does it matter who asks whom ? It is irrelevant as relationships are all about being together. I think it is absolutely beautiful when girls ask guys . Why can they only do it in leap years only and not otherwise? They should do that normally too.

Swetta Jumaani, Numerologist
It is nothing new, women have been at the forefront in most fields for quite a while now. Women have been doing the asking for ages, with the leap year it has become official.

Ananya Mohanty, a media student
Well, I didn't know about the leap year concept, but I don't understand why girls’ asking guys out is even being put up for a poll. I know it has been a long tradition of boys asking girls out but then this entire perception should be done away with. Why can't girls proposeto guys? I mean, if I like a guy then I would ask him out without waiting for him to come to me. I don't see any reason why I shouldn't do that.
