Khanna Three members of a family including a man, his wife and son were killed and two others injured in a road accident after their car was intentionally hit by another car near Samrala on Saturday evening.

After being hit by the car, the vehicle rammed into a truck resulting in the death of Harwinder Singh (35), his wife Jasvir Kaur (30) and son Pawanjot Singh (7). Co-passengers Sher Singh and Lovepreet Singh were injured and rushed to the Samrala Civil Hospital.

The victims are residents of Dugri village in Ludhiana and were on their way back home after attending a wedding at Samrala.

The three accused fled from the spot. A police party led by SP (D) Kuldeep Singh reached the spot to investigate the matter.

Injured Lovepreet Singh (16) said, "Harwinder Singh had some altercation with a man at the wedding venue who is also a resident of Dugri. Both parties were somehow pacified.
