Three killed in separate accidents

Mumbai Three people including a two year old girl were killed in three separate road accidents on New year's eve. These incidents occurred at Govandi, Sion and the Andheri-Kurla road.

At Govandi, Kiran Kir, a two-year-old girl was killed after a motorcycle hit the autorickshaw in which she was traveling with her mother, turning it upside down. She was rushed to the Shatabdi hospital in Govandi where she succumbed to her injuries. In a similar case, a pedestrian Nasay Madgiri (50) was killed after pillion rider Naresh Keliji (21) hit him at Marol Pipe junction on the Andheri-Kurla road. Both were rushed to the R N Cooper hospital.

A case of rash driving was registered against Keliji at the Sahar police station but he was later let out on bail after being produced before the Metropolitan court. Cops said that Keliji was not drunk at the time of the accident.

In yet another accident, Mitesh Jetwha (24) and his friend Kinjal Patel, who were on their way to a party on a motorbike, rammed into a truck parked in Sion. According to Patel, the tempo was parked without its indicators on which led to the collision.

Jethwa who was rushed to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital passed away.
