Hisar Condemning terror activities perpetrated by Pakistan from across the border, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Venkaiah Naidu criticised the Congress for going slow on the issue and said it was time to act. Talking to the media on Thursday, he said terrorism must be dealt with firmly. “National integrity and unity will be at stake if action against Pakistan for using its soil for terror activities is not taken immediately,” he added.

He also accused the Congress of failing to complete the development and infrastructure projects started by the BJP. He said they would be completed by the NDA if it was voted back to power in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a Vijay Sankalp rally organised at Shivani in Bhiwani district, he called upon the people to rout out the Congress, saying it was an “anti-farmer and anti-people” party.

Speaking on the occasion, INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala blamed the Congress-led UPA government for the record price hike and said it was a party of capitalists. Asking the people to strengthen the hands of the BJP-INLD alliance, he said the Congress government in Haryana had become a party of property dealers. “Law and order situation is deteriorating, following which people are feeling insecure,” he said. State BJP president Atam Chand Manchanda, too, spoke on the occasion.
