Traffic diversions on R-Day

Various roads here would remain closed for the general public from 7 am onwards till the function is over.

These include: the road from the roundabout of Sector 16/17/22/23 till the small rotary near Gurdial Singh Petrol Pump on Udyog Path, the stretch from Sector 16/17 till the roundabout of Sector 16/17/22/23 on Jan Marg and the one from the lightpoint near Lyon's Restaurant in Sector 17 stretching till the Parade Ground.

Parking will not be allowed in the parking area outside shops in Sector 22-A from 7 am onwards. Public can park their vehicles in the Sector 22-B parking area, adjacent to the Blood Disease Hospital, Sector 23- B, on the rear side of Neelam Cinema Sector 17, in the parking of the Football Stadium and the Sector 17 Circus Ground.

All the buses coming from Haryana, Punjab, HP and other places to the ISBT, Sector 17, would be diverted towards the ISBT Chowk from Bajwara Chowk and Piccadilly Chowk via Himalya Marg and they would enter ISBT Sector 17 from the Small Chowk (near Gurdial Singh Petrol Pump).

Punjab Raj Bhavan

The road stretch from the roundabout of Sector 5/6/7/8 till the T-Point near Golf Club and from the T-Point near Punjab Raj Bhavan towards the residence of UT Advisor shall remain closed to the general public from 2 pm onwards till the function ends at Punjab Raj Bhavan.

Invitees to the 'At Home' function with 'pink car parking labels' shall park their vehicles in the parking area on the rear side of the Advisor's residence. They would alight outside the entry gate of the Punjab Raj Bhavan.

The cars of senior citizens with 'pink car parking labels' shall be allowed to park in the parking area towards the mini zoo. Invitees with 'green car parking labels' should use the road from Sector 7/8 for parking their vehicles in the parking area adjacent to the Advisor's residence in Sector 7.
