Amrita Kapoor, a working woman says: “I come across people who drive very slowly while talking on mobile phones, which leads to slowing down of traffic and jams. While the traffic personnel do not pay attention to this, the commuters are at the receiving end.”
Ramesh Sharma, a government employee says: “Mobile phones have become a necessity. People do not stop their vehicle to attend calls.”
Gurdeep Singh, DSP (Traffic), says: “Talking on the mobile while driving is a violation of the traffic rules. We do issue challan to the violators. The traffic personnel have to streamline the traffic along with issuing challans. We will enhance our check on this violation.”
