New Delhi, March 3 Almost two weeks after the Delhi Police had arrested a couple at the Indira Gandhi international Airport for trying to illegally transport two teenagers out of the country, the police on Monday arrested the agent who had helped them.

Chhatar Paul, the travel agent who allegedly supplied both teenagers with documents and procured visas on their forged passports, was sent to judicial custody by a city court.

According to the prosecution, Sanjeev Rastogi and his wife Prashi had been held at the airport after it was found out that the boys accompanying them were not their children as shown in the documents. The police found that the two teenagers were residents of Dasuya in Punjab whom the couple were trying to traffick out of the country. During interrogation Sanjeev revealed that he had been promised a sum of Rs 1 lakh by Paul to ferry one of the kids to Paris. Sanjeev's wife Prashi also made a similiar disclosure.
