Two commit suicide in city

Ludhiana Two persons committed suicide in two different areas of the city on Friday.

The first incident was reported from Sanjay Gandhi Colony when a 17-year-old girl, Khushbu set herself on fire by pouring kerosene on her body this afternoon. Khushbu was a student of 10th class and she reportedly took this extreme step because she had scored less marks in her examinations. She died on the spot because of burn injuries.

In another incident, a 20-year old youth, Karampreet Singh, reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented accommodation at Dashmesh Nagar in Shimlapuri here on Friday morning. Karampreet Singh, who hailed from Dhamot village under Payal constituency, used to work with a private firm.
