In another accident, a motorcyclist rammed into a road divider on the B T Kawade road killing the pillion rider identified as Ananta Rama Pawar (25) of Ramtekdi, Hadapsar on Friday morning. The motorcyclist Vikas Laxman Awate (21), also a resident of Ramtekdi, received major injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
According to the police, Awate was riding at a high speed and lost control of the motorcycle which to hit the road divider near Safe Society at 6.30 am. Apte did not have a licence, said the police.
