Two students commit suicide in separate cases

New Delhi In separate incidents, a 24-year-old engineering graduate and a 13-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in the past 24 hours in the Capital.

In the first incident, a girl who was preparing for M Tech, committed suicide by hanging herself in Harsh Vihar area of Northeast Delhi on Saturday. Police said that the deceased, Sungdha Kumari had given an entrance examination for M Tech recently in which she could not perform well and was worried about the result. This apparently drove her to suicide, said the police.

In the second incident, a 13-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her home in Prashant Vihar area of Outer Delhi on Friday.

The incident was reported around 6.30 pm. Police said said that Sangrika studied in class VII.
