Two-day athletic meet of GNGC concludes

Ludhiana, February 1 The two-day Annual Athletic Meet of Guru Nanak Girls College concluded today. Dr Dulcha Singh Brar, PAU Director Students’ Welfare, was the chief guest and Gian Inder Singh, District Sports Officer, the guest of honour.

Students presented a colouful marchpast. Dr Brar gave the prizes. Priya of BA I was declared the best athlete. Gurbir Singh, President, Guru Nanak Education Trust, congratulated the winners.

The results of the various contests are as follows, in the order of merit. 100 meters: Deepti Rani of BA-I. Relay 4 x 400: Deepti Rani of BA-I; Harminder Kaur of BA-III (4592); Sukhbir Kaur of MA-I. Obstacle Race: Ana of Class XII. Outstanding Sportsgirl: Jinna Devi. Best Athlete: Priya of BA-I ( 2784); Sports president: Manjit Kaur. Sports secretary: Veerpal Kaur. Marchpast trophy: NCC. Class championship: BA-I. Relay 4 X 100: Deepti of BA-I; Harminder of BA-III; Japneet of Class XII.
