Universal Exports in expansion mode

Pune, February 5 Universal Construction Machinery and Equipment Pvt Ltd is now on an expansion mode for the global market.

A construction equipment company, Universal has three manufacturing plants in Shivare, Shirval and Shindewadi spread across 25 acres with 75 associate offices all over India for sales and after sales support.

During last quarter, Universal bagged export orders worth Rs 2 crore. And during last financial year, Universal has exported construction equipment to the tune of Rs 3 crore.

As compared to last year’s export orders, the company had already exported machineries worth Rs six crore in first three quarters of current financial year. Recently, company dispatched 21 concrete mixers for one of their esteem client in Florida, USA.

“After successful participation in BAUMA 2007 exhibition, in Munich, Germany, Universal is getting tremendous response from global market. There is huge demand from all over the world for Universal’s machinery like batching plants, reversible mixers, small concrete mixers, hanging platform, passenger lifts and works platform.

Based on potential countries, Universal has started appointing distributors in Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Ghana, Maldives, and Yemen and also in process of appointing distributors in countries like Germany, Italy, Brazil, Chile, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Egypt, and Ethiopia. More than 25 batching plants, 100 reversible drum mixers, 500 concrete mixers and 10 hanging platforms are running successfully all over the world.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjeet Moray, MD UCME, said, “We are in a process of expansion through appointment of distributors. We have been consistently getting exports orders for various products and in future we see a lot of demand for products like transit mixers, tower cranes and concrete pumps.”
