Mohali Former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, moving the Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC) against her husband, Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammed today.

Admitting her plea moved through Global Human Rights Commission (GHRC) chairman Arvind Thakur, the Punjab State Human Rights Commission division bench, comprising Justice R S Mongia and Justice Baldev Singh, fixed February 25 for arguments on the petition seeking action against Chand and the police, who she accused of carrying out “biased and improper” investigation in the case.

Thakur, who had faced Fiza's wrath following his comments on the Chand-Fiza marriage, sought investigations from an officer not below the rank of ADGP including a woman officer in the investigation panel.

“According to the guidelines, the police officer should have visited Fiza's place to record her statement instead of calling her to his place,” the GHRC chairman asserted.
