Ludhiana, March 2 A Man created high drama at the Dukhnivaran Sahib Gurdwara this morning when he forcibly snatched the mike from a granthi on pistol point and started talking incoherently. The man was later found to be mentally unstable and the pistol in his possession was a toy.

The man, identified as Parminder Singh, who claimed to be a policeman, came to the gurdwara around 10.30 am. He went straight to a raagi reciting Gurbani. He forcibly snatched the mike from the raagi on a gunpoint and started speaking inarticulately.

When devotees tried to stop him, he threatened them saying he was carrying bombs and warned everyone not to mess with him.

Later, some people overpowered him and took his pistol, which was found to be a toy. The officials of the gurdwara management committee took Parminder to the administrative office and informed the police.

Meanwhile, a police party also reached the gurdwara and arrested him. When his jacket was thoroughly searched, a hockey stick was found underneath it.

The police later informed his relatives who said that the man is under severe depression. The Division Number 2 SHO Surinder Mohan, "Parminder has been handed over to his relatives. They said he is tensed due to some problems in his family." The SHO said no action had been taken against him.
