Justice H R Malhotra issued a notice to the Association of Victims of the Uphaar Tragedy (AVUT) on the same petition.
A sessions court had on November 23 given Gopal and his brother, Sushil Ansal, a two-year jail term for causing death by negligence. They were granted bail soon after the pronouncement of punishment.
The bench has also issued notices to the investigating agency and victims’ association on the basis of a petition filed by another convict, S S Sharma, while fixing the date of the next hearing on January 4.
