US Consul General visits NDA

Pune American Consul General Paul Folmsbee visited National Defence Academy (NDA) and addressed the officers and cadets of on Thursday.

The topic on which the Consul General focused his speech was ‘Role of Civilian in Conflict’. He shared his experience of his tenure in Iraq particularly rebuilding of Iraq after the devastating gulf war, which resulted in fall of Saddam Hussain regime.

It is pertinent to note that exchange of ideas between future military leaders of India and diplomats of other countries would certainly go a long way to understand each others view point especially, the role of civilian in conflict situation when armies of both countries are deployed in various places all over the world under the United Nation's Flag and improve bilateral relations.

It will also give an opportunity to the cadets of NDA to know various intricacies of diplomatic relations and transform the working relations into a cordial one.
