Chandigarh, January 31 UT Administrator Gen (retd) SF Rodrigues called on NCC Cadets to develop leadership qualities, with the focus on values. He emphasised the need to introspect and analyze our inadequacies and weaknesses and take measures to make our future path smooth and hassle free for achieving the aims and objectives enshrined in NCC charter.

Addressing the function, after honouring NCC Cadets and officers who took part in Republic Day Parade and PM’s Rally-2008 at New Delhi, Rodrigues reminded the cadets of the gigantic effort involved in creating India.

He suggested the need to make alumni association of NCC cadets to periodically meet and share their knowledge and perceptions. He also advised them to work with motivation and spirit of adventurism, which they gained as NCC Cadets. Rodrigues presented mementos to the cadets and the officers of NCC who participated in the Republic Day celebrations.

The NCC Directorate had sent a strong contingent of 113 cadets to participate in the Republic Day celebrations. The contingent achieved the first positions in best cadet competition, cultural competition, line area, aero modeling; and second position in One India theme.
