V-C makes internal assessment more transparent in PU

Chandigarh, February 8 A circular has been issued to all colleges affiliated to Panjab University to display the marks of internal assessments on notice boards before sending it to the university, said PU Vice-Chancellor Prof R C Sobti while addressing a press conference today.

The step has been taken to ensure transparency in the evaluation system. This will also reduce the problems arising due to mistakes in the internal assessments.

The Vice-Chancellor also announced a number of events for the students of the university. While the Student Research Convention would be held from February 13 to 15, the National Science Day celebrations will take place in all the science departments of the university on February 27 and 28. Eminent Scientists including HY Mohan Rai, Dr Abrol, Dr KC Chopra will deliver special lectures on the occasion.

The second Chandigarh Science Congress Chess Competition is also scheduled for March 14 and 15. The Punjab Chief Minster will lay the foundation stone of Guru Teg Bahadur Punjabi Bhawan on March 30.
