Traffic stopper
It seems Vidya Balan will do anything to meet her friends. The actress was recently passing by the promenade at Carter Road in her car, when she spotted director Raju Hirani. The filmmaker was one of many health-conscious people who were using the promenade as an open-air gym. Vidya spotted her pal and started yelling out his name, but Raju didn’t hear her over the din of the traffic. Then Vidya actually stopped her car and got out to go meet him, thereby causing a jam.
SRK’s GK
When Shah Rukh Khan first moved to Mumbai, he was shell-shocked at having to live in a flat. King Khan confessed to friend Farhan Akhtar on the latter’s show that he equated living in a flat with being poor. In Delhi, though from a middle-class background, he’d always lived in a bungalow. When he moved to
Mumbai to further his acting career, his mom sent him to live with his ‘rich’ aunt’s flat at Napean Sea Road. SRK, who had no idea what real estate prices were like in Mumbai, was convinced that his aunt had been lying all the time and that she was really poor. He then resolved to buy the bungalow that is now known as Mannat and has become a Mumbai landmark. But what does that say about SRK’s GK?
Accident prone
Shilpa Shetty sure has bad luck. First she injured her foot in Mumbai. Then, barely had it healed when somebody stepped on the same foot while she was shopping in London. But, luckily, the damage was minimal and in any case, sis Shamita Shetty was at hand to play Florence Nightingale. Shamita was a very devoted nurse and even stayed awake so as to be at Shilpa’s beck and call. The display of sisterly love sure was touching.
