King Khan’s GK
When Shah Rukh Khan first moved to Mumbai, he was shell-shocked at having to live in a flat. The King Khan confessed to friend Farhan Akhtar on the latter’s show that he equated living in a flat with being poor. In Delhi, though from a middle-class background, he’d always lived in a bungalow. When he moved to Mumbai to further his acting career, his mom sent him to live with his ‘rich’ aunt’s flat at Napean Sea Road. SRK, who had no idea what real estate prices are like in Mumbai, was convinced that his aunt had been lying all the time and that she was really poor. He then resolved to buy the bungalow that is now known as Mannat and has become a Mumbai landmark. But what does that say about SRK’s GK?
