Dream debut
Model-turned-actor Mugdha Godse is going great guns. The pretty lass has not just wowed audiences with her debut performance in Fashion but looks like she has impressed the critics too. Mugdha recently bagged the Lions Gold Award for the Best Debutant Actress for her dazzling performance. On receiving the award Godse said, “It’s a special award as it’s my first and it’s not from any film award function but from an organisation made by people and for the people. If people accept you as an actor, then half the battle is won. Lions Club Association has been rewarding all those people from different fields from society so it makes me proud to be part of the special ones.”

Return of Kaante
With Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta’s relationship going kaput, the sequel of Kaante will mainly be about looking for the lead actor. While Bollywood is speculating that the possible sequel of Kaante would be a package of young stars, the movie will be directed by Rohit Roy. If sources are to be believed, an audience poll is being conducted on who should star in the sequel. Let’s wait and watch.

All about Shahid
If Akshay Kumar proved to be the ‘Kinng’ of Bollywood in 2008, looks like Shahid Kapoor will take the mantle this year. Shahid, who has the maximum number of releases in 2009, is waiting for his big venture Kaminay. Apparently, everyone who has seen the rushes of the film can’t stop raving about him. Shahid has also delivered a stunning performance in Paathshala, says its producer, Ahmed Khan. Also on the list are Yashraj Films’s next with Rani Mukerji, Ken Ghosh’s musical for UTV and a film with father Pankaj Kapur. Looks like 2009 is going to be a busy year for the lad.

Rahul’s Dream Run
Actor Rahul Bose, former India test captain Anil Kumble and Sharmila Tagore along with daughter Soha Ali Khan ran for the Mumbai Marathon on January 18 alongside six kids from his NGO, The Foundation. The kids participated in the Mumbai Marathon as they wanted to show solidarity after the deadly 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. The six children, who are attending the Rishi Valley School in Bangalore, were delighted to meet Soha and Sharmila.
