Beautiful and dutiful
Katrina Kaif is every director’s delight — not only is she one of the prettiest faces to grace the big screen, she also believes in giving her work a whole hundred percent. Recently, while shooting a song for her next release, Ajab Prem ki Gajab Kahani, Kat got so absorbed in rehearsing her moves that she didn’t eat the whole day. It was only when a unit member brought it to her notice did she realise that she’d given her nourishment for the day a total miss. The inadvertent dieting may keep her reed thin, but we’re guessing it’s her commitment and professionalism that make her such a hit in Bollywood.

Career makeover
Bikram Saluja’s career may not be going anywhere special, but he sure is trying hard. The model-turned-actor reportedly spent hours getting into the skin of his character in 42 Kms — literally. Bikram’s prosthetic make-up took three to four hours to apply and another two to three hours to remove. Let us hope all this dedication pays off and Bikram finally gets the professional mileage he’s looking for.

Crazy about cricket
Preity Zinta is known to be a passionate and fiery person and it is this aspect of her which has made her a success in films and one of the most well-known faces of Bollywood. So when Preity entered the IPL fray and bought the Kings XI Punjab team, everyone knew she’d bring the same passion to cricket as well. She was always on hand to motivate her team and to boost their confidence. Now the actress wants to give budding cricketers a chance to showcase their talents. Her Kings XI Punjab will hold a cricket seminar and tournament in Chandigarh and Mohali. The aim of the seminar is to organise a T-20 tournament between the teams of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and J&K. Says Preity about this venture, “My aim is to promote cricket at the grass-root level and to nurture new talent. I also want everyone involved to have fun.”
