Getting their due
Indian talent is being recognised internationally — and not just in LA. The Hong Kong International Awards, acknowledging the achievement of Jodhaa Akbar, have nominated music director AR Rahman and art director and production designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai for the exquisite sets. Looks like the talents in the Indian film industry are making the world sit up and finally take notice.
Dancing damsel
Actress Richa Chadda, who made her debut in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! opposite Abhay Deol, has an unusual way of coping with stress. Well-versed in various forms of dance like jazz, kathak and belly dance, among others, she says that whenever she is stressed, she puts on her dancing shoes and moves to her favourite music. Chadda is so passionate about the art that she intends to open a dance school post-retirement. We hope that isn’t too soon.
