Village Sports meet from tomorrow

Ludhiana Village Laltoon will host its 14th Annual Village Sports Meet from February 21 to 23 at the Government Senior Secondary School grounds. Events like kabaddi, bullock cart race, dog race, volleyball will be held in the meet. Vikas Garg, Deputy Commissioner, will inaugurate the meet on February 21. A cash prize of Rs 51,000 will be awarded to the winning village and a sum of Rs 35,000 will be awarded to the runners-up. Hockey star Jugraj Singh, Dr Mandeep Kaur Grewal, Kabaddi stars Paramjeet Singh and Romi will be felicitated on the closing ceremony by Hira Singh Gabria, who will be the chief guest on the occasion.
