New Delhi
A Delhi court has issued open non-bailable warrants against five persons who went abroad on fake travel documents by allegedly cheating the Canadian Embassy here. The court allowed a request of the CBI to issue the warrants against Rooh Ram, Nirmal Singh, Kewal Singh, Pritpal Singh and Tarsem, who obtained visas allegedly through fraudulent means by conspiring with a Canadian embassy official and a travel agent. The CBI had in December 2001 filed a chargesheet in the case allegedly involving Preeti Grower, an immigration programme officer, travel agents Kanwaljeet Singh and Ajeet Kumar, charging them with criminal conspiracy, cheating and using forged documents.
