Attention art aficionados! There has been a youthful addition to the mature world of the painters’ atelier. Nine-year-old Haris Imtiaz Khan from Pune is gleaming with joy at his 10-day-long art exhibition in Mumbai, attended and eulogised by the dazzling Tanushree Dutta and the vibrant Rajpal Yadav. Being showcased from December 27 to January 5 at Mumbai Art Gallery, New Shantivan Building, New Link Road, Andheri (W), the exhibition, tied up with the child upliftment organisation, Project Crayon - displays his artwork from the raw age of three till date; the highlight being his live performance in rapid sketching. Using chalk and charcoal apart from the stereotype paintbrush, Khan has bagged many State, National and even International level awards. With Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi as his idols, the small wonder, much-extolled by Abdul Kalam and superstar Amir Khan, has received no formal training. “He has worked laboriously to hone his skills” beams his proud mother Huma Khan. In fact Khan also attended the screening of Taare Zameen Par and gifted Amir Khan his portrait.
