Woman accuses man, three sons of raping her

Junagadh A 27-year-old married woman lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday, accusing a man and his three sons of raping her. No arrest has been made so far, said the police.

According to the complaint lodged with the Talala police, one Ravji Devipoojak along with his sons Suresh, Raju and Mukesh raped the woman at a mango farm in Talala taluka of Junagadh, on Monday.

The woman was also stabbed when she resisted, said the police. A case of rape has been lodged.

Sub Inspector B K Vanar said: “The woman was sent to a government hospital for medical examination. The reports are awaited. We are also collecting evidence and will arrest the accused soon.” The four are residents of Manvadar.

It is learnt that the victim’s husband has an extra marital affair with the wife of the prime accused, Ravji. Vanar said the woman might have been raped in an act of revenge.
