Vadodara A woman has filed a cheating complaint against one Tushar Salve of Sama for allegedly duping her of Rs 4.5 lakh on the pretext of getting her passports and visa.

The police said that if the complaint is taken into consideration, Salve might have duped nearly 300 people in the city.

The complainant, Hetal Patel, told the police that Salve took the money to arrange for her and her family’s passports and visa for the US. She also alleged the person had told her that he belonged to a Delhi-based agency, D K International.

However, when she along with 50 others went to his house to collect their passports, Salve refused to even recognise them, the police said.

“They did not have any proof to show that they had given money to him. Hetal is the first one to complaint about the issue,” said a policeman.
