New Delhi, February 3 A woman lodged a complaint at the IGI Police Station against Air France for serving beef on board. No FIR has been registered. The victim Ravinder Kaur Saini alleged that on January 30, when she was on a flight returning from Paris, she was served beef instead of chicken. Saini alleged when she questioned the crew, they tried to hide it and throw away the food packet.

“Despite my complaint, Air France did not take any action,” said Saini.

The airlines mentions on its ticket that beef or pork is not served on Indian flights, keeping in mind the religious sentiments. Saini has decided to approach consumer court to to lodge a complaint against Air France. “How can they insult our religious sentiments by serving us beef when they know that Indians worship cows?,” she said.
