Founder of the movement Edith Schlaffer, author and activist from Vienna, was also present on the occasion.
The launch function was attended by Prof Nishi Pandey, director of the Academic Staff College, social activists Sehba Hussain, Shalini Mathur, Sabra Habib, Shahnaz Sidrat and Naish Hasan. Prof Rakesh Chandra of the IWS was also present on the occasion.
Speaking about the association, Prof Chandra said that SAVE aims at highlighting the plight of women in a different light. He added that the IWS is also planning to develop certain kinds of modules to promote researches on topics like peace and situation of women during conflicts.
