Women, vintage car rallies to be held on March 9

Chandigarh, March 6 SantaBanta.com will conduct The SantaBanta.com Women’s Car Rally 2008 and 'The SantaBanta.com Vintage & Classic Car Rally 2008 on March 9.

The rally will start with the scrutiny of cars at Lake Club, Chandigarh on Saturday, followed by a special briefing for drivers and navigators.

Haryana Governor Dr A R Kidwai will flag off the rallies from the Lake Club at 8 am on Sunday.

The cars will rally through all the prominent routes in the city to promote road safety and safe driving. Covering a distance of 80 kms, the participants will stop for lunch at Barog in Himachal Pradesh.

After the break, the participants will drive back to Chandigarh. The second leg of the rally will be flagged off by Manisha Nanda, Secretary of Tourism, Himachal Pradesh from Barog. The event will end at Lake Club for prize distribution.
