The seven wonders of the world are known to all, but making sure we looked within our country and found suitable contenders is the 24-hour news channel NDTV. In a first-of-its kind initiative the channel has launched a campaign called Seven Wonders of India to celebrate India’s rich heritage in association with the Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India campaign. This Wednesday saw the channel announce the lineup of final seven chosen from a list of 15 for the cluster - Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. The announcement was made at a specially held ceremony at the Hotel Taj steered by NDTV anchors Amitabh Revi and Nagma. The anchors got the special invitees to announce the final seven. Doing the honours were Punjab Governor and UT Administrator General S F Rodrigues (retd), theatre personality Neelam Man Singh Chaudhry, singer Jasbir Jassi, actor Gurpreet Ghuggi, state minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh among others. And the ones who scored the top seven positions are Golden Temple, Tabo Monastery, Viceregal Lodge, Sarhan Bheemakali, Anandpur Sahib, Laxmi Narayan Temple and the Kangra Fort.
