Among the many features of the website — people can register their complaints regarding roads on map provided on the website. Anyone born after 1992 can obtain birth certificates online. The development plan (DP) of the 23 merged villages could also be downloadable from the website. People can also seek information of the corporators and civic officials in a particular ward.
The PMC, with the help of the Persistent Systems Pvt Ltd, Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP), NVIDIA, Eclipsys, has revamped its earlier website with the same URL address, in the time span of five weeks. A team of 7-8 software experts headed by Anupam Saraph, the chief information officer (CIO) of the PMC. Civic commissioner Praveensinh Pardeshi formally launched the website on Monday at the Persistent office on S B Road.
Pardeshi said, “We want to make this website a virtual office for the PMC employees. We also want people to utilize this website for common and routine work like online bill payments. This will reduce the man-to-man interface. In future, we can integrate all the departments, wherein the working staff of the PMc could be connected to each other through the website.”
The website facilitates registering complaints with the PMC and following it its redressal online. Citizens can address their complaint to any department, specify the administrative ward they belong to and enter the complaint.
