Youth injured by speeding Scorpio on Gill Chowk

Ludhiana, January 19 Sanjeev Kumar, 29, got injured when a speeding Scorpio hit his motorcycle on the traffic lights of Gill Chowk late last night.

An employee with an insurance company, Sanjeev had a narrow escape vehicle. As Sanjeev was wearing a helmet, he did not sustain any head injury, though he fell down on the road. After being hit, he skidded along the road for some distance and sustained some inner injuries and bruises, though he was lucky enough not to get any fracture.

Dildar Singh Lotey, president of JCI, an NGO, was standing at these traffic lights. He came to Sanjeev’s rescue and took him to the doctor for first aid. After that Sanjeev reported the matter to Shimlapuri police. Police are looking into the matter.
